Mark Bouras - GuitarSince age eleven Mark has studied many styles of guitar with several teachers. He is experience in Classical, Flamence, Jazz, Metal and Progressive Rock guitar. With a dgree in Music Performance, Mark has been successful playing electric and bass guitar in seeral bands across the United States. He is currently teaching and performing in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Mark is dedicated to combining the techniques of classical guitar with his true passion electric guitar. Sume of his main influences are Stee Morse, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson and Christopher Parkening.
Jason Land - GuitarGrowing up on the East Coast, Jason Land's guitar journey started at the age of thirteen when he received the opportunity to study with some of Philadelphia's top instructors; leading to his placement in successful top 40 cover bands, performing in venues throughout Philadelphia and New York City.
Wanting to expand his knowledge of recording and producing, Jason earned a music production and engineering degree from Full Sail University in Orlando, Fl. Los Angeles called next and the opportunities to continue studying and performing flourished. Since living in Southern California, Jason has studied with guitarist Dave Weiner (Steve Vai Band) and has worked with Grammy winning producers and engineers. Jason is currently a professional songwriter, working with top publishers in Los Angeles and Nashville.
Jason has been teaching guitar professionally for eight years and has worked at RockStars since 2007. He has also been the guitar instructor for Community Magnet Elementary School in Bel Air, as well as for various students in the Los Angeles area. In addition to teaching songwriting and ProTools engineering, he specializes in teaching blues, rock, funk, folk, and finger-style picking for guitar. "Teaching is like therapy for me. It gives me a chance to give back to a music world that has offered me so much. I want to help build a foundation of confidence in my students; allowing them to explore their creativity and be the compass they use to achieve their musical goals."
Matthew Yeakley - GuitarMatthew, a native of San Diego, has been playing the guitar since he was fifteen years old. Growing up he had the opportunity to study with a number of local guitar heroes, instilling in him a deep love of the guitar and music. At the age of nineteen he began teaching and playing professionally in the San Diego area, finding musically like minded people in groups ranging from the poppy jam band sound of Loose Canon, to the tight sound of the live hip-hop group Funkuation. Thanks to the San Diego based projects Matthew has been involved in, he has been given the opportunity to travel up and down the coast of California. In the summer of 2007 Matthew left San Diego for Minneapolis to play with the funky jam band super group "The Higgle". Matthew is a graduate from the guitar program at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Callifornia. Matthew is fluent in many styles from Jazz to Bluegrass, Reggae, Afro-cuban, Hip-hop, Funk and Fusion.
Will Kaczmarek - GuitarGuitarist Will Kaczmarek was born in Rockford, Illinois. He holds a B.A. in Jazz Guitar Performance/Electronic and Computer Music Composition from Northern Illinois University as well as an A.A. in Guitar Performance from Musicians Institute (Hollywood, CA). Will was honored with a Development Scholarship to MI, a Fender Musical Instruments Scholarship to Berklee Conservatory of Music (Boston, MA), and nicknamed Willtone by the faculty of NIU. He has studied with Fareed Haque, Scott Henderson, Dean Brown, Alex Machacek, Stanley Jordan, Rick Zunigar, Ron Carter and others.
Will has performed over 2000 gigs ranging from solo guitar to big bands, country to death metal and more. He spent three years as orchestra guitarist for Holland America and Royal Caribbean International, visiting over 50 countries while performing with The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters, and Bowzer, among others. As a sideman Willtone has backed alto legend Ritchie Cole, toured the U.K. with Dream Catcher, and performed at U.S. Cellular Field for the Chicago White Sox. He's opened for Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Lonnie Brooks, The Blues Brothers, and many more.
As an educator, Will has worked with over 800 students at seven different facilities including Northern Illinois University. Several of his former students are currently professional musicians. Will specializes primarily in American styles including Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Metal, and Funk. Topics include improvisation, solo guitar, groove, transcription, and sight-reading. Will encourages students to learn through their own musical experiences--utilizing the songs that inspired them to play guitar in the first place.
